It all starts with a consultation. During your consultation, your provider will take a 3D scan of your mouth and jaw called a CBCT. They will use this scan to determine if you have sufficient bone to receive implants for 3 on 6. At the end of your consultation, your doctor will review the results with you and present their recommended treatment options.
Some patients have been told they don't have enough bone for implants. Often the dentists giving this diagnosis do not have the skill and experience necessary to make such a determination. Many 3 on 6 patients were once told they didn't have enough bone for implants. In cases where there is legitimate significant bone loss, the patient may still be a candidate for 3 on 6 with the help of bone grafting or specialized zygomatic/pterygoid implants. For the minority of patients that don't qualify, 3 on 6 providers can almost always offer a "next best" solution like the All-on-X.
If your dentist is listed as an official 3 on 6 Provider, you can trust that they’ve completed specialized training and certification to perform the procedure to our standards. Every provider on that list has been evaluated for skill, knowledge, and commitment to the 3 on 6 treatment philosophy. In addition, their 3 on 6 cases are reviewed by our surgical planning team and their cases are prepared and delivered by the official 3 on 6 lab.
Providers are also organized into tiers to help you understand their level of experience:
Preferred Providers – The most experienced 3 on 6 dentists, with a proven track record of successful cases.
Licensed Providers – Fully trained and certified, with consistent experience performing the procedure.
Associate Providers – Certified dentists who are newer to the 3 on 6 technique but have completed our official training program.
By choosing a provider from this list, you can feel confident you’re in the hands of a professional who has met our rigorous training and quality standards.
